Hello Hells Canyon another fun fishing Trip with a mix of Photography

Hells-Canyon Pop and I rolled over to Hells Canyon today for some fun photography and fishing.

The goal was to catch a boat load of crappie’s.

Crappie's weren't  a biting like the bass were, I was catching small mouth bass on fly’s that I tied myself.

Although they were legal limit to keep, they were a tad small for my frying pan and I let them go to grow into ginormous bad ass bass.

We were fishing at Brownlee Reservoir on the Snake River right on the State line of Idaho and Oregon.

Pop and I carry duel licenses for each State, there is great fishing in Oregon and living this close to another State in the long run it is more economical to carry a yearly out of State license than buying day licenses.

The bass were going crazy for the fly patterns I tied up and it is always like a small miracle, when fish of any kind is attracted to one of my patterns.

The photographic catch of all angles Hells Canyon this is the best.

Hells-Canyon

Huge white clouds, blue sky and large bodies of water next to mountains are the pentacle of my favorite landscape shots.

Also it doesn't hurt if the fish are biting!

I would have loved to be out in the middle of that big ol' lake today! It's beautiful!!!
I have fried so many crappie! My former in-laws loved to have fish fries and I'd get to help with the cooking. One time we cooked for over an hour - 'bout passed out! All that for a big of bones. But ehey did kinda grow on ya.
Glad you had a great time...
